SEC announces kickoff time, TV schedule for Alabama footballâs matchup with Ole Miss
The SEC announced the game time for Alabama football’s Week 4 matchup against Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide and the Rebels are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CBS) on Sept. 23.
The game will serve as Alabama’s SEC opener for the 2023 season. UA visits South Florida this week for its final non-conference game until it faces Chattanooga in November.
Ole Miss will be the second team Alabama faces this season led by a former Nick Saban assistant. Lane Kiffin is in his fourth season leading the Rebels.
Kiffin’s group opened the season by blowing out Mercer in Oxford. The Rebels had a far tougher time in Week 2, on the road at Tulane.
Ole Miss was losing to the American Athletic Conference team 17-7 at one point, but was able to turn a 30-3 scoring run into a win. The final score was 37-20.
The Rebels face a Power 5 opponent this week in Georgia Tech. That game will happen in Oxford at 6:30 p.m. and will be aired on the SEC Network.
Kiffin has never beaten his old boss. He and his Rebels made it close last season, losing 30-24 in Oxford.
Alabama’s game against South Florida this week is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Tampa and will be aired on ABC.
